SDN UT Southwestern 2025 is a comprehensive strategic plan that outlines the vision and goals for the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center over the next decade. The plan was developed through a collaborative process involving faculty, staff, students, and stakeholders, and it is designed to build on the institution’s strengths and address future challenges.
The SDN UT Southwestern 2025 plan has four main pillars: Discovery, Education, Clinical Care, and Population Health. Each pillar is supported by a set of strategic initiatives that are designed to achieve the plan’s goals. For example, the Discovery pillar includes initiatives to increase research funding, recruit and retain top faculty, and develop new technologies. The Education pillar includes initiatives to enhance the student experience, expand educational offerings, and promote diversity and inclusion. The Clinical Care pillar includes initiatives to improve patient outcomes, reduce costs, and expand access to care. The Population Health pillar includes initiatives to address social determinants of health, promote healthy behaviors, and improve community health outcomes.
