The Bill Pickett Invitational Rodeo (BPIR) is an annual rodeo held in Denver, Colorado, that celebrates the legacy of Bill Pickett, an African-American cowboy and rodeo performer. The BPIR is the only rodeo in the United States that exclusively features African-American cowboys and cowgirls.
The 2025 BPIR will be held from July 18-20. The rodeo will feature a variety of events, including bull riding, bronc riding, barrel racing, and team roping. There will also be a special performance by the Bill Pickett Posse, a group of African-American trick riders and ropers.
