The Pegasus World Cup is an annual horse race held at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Florida. The race is open to horses aged four and up and is run over a distance of 1 1/8 miles on the dirt.
The Pegasus World Cup has quickly become one of the most popular horse races in the world, attracting some of the best horses and jockeys in the sport. In 2023, the race was won by Life Is Good, who defeated Medina Spirit by a nose. The race was also notable for the disqualification of Bob Baffert-trained Medina Spirit, who initially crossed the finish line first, but was later disqualified after a post-race drug test revealed the presence of betamethasone, a banned substance.
