The tournament was first played in 1952 and has been held at a variety of courses throughout the country, including Cherry Hills Country Club in Colorado, Aronimink Golf Club in Pennsylvania, and Harding Park Golf Course in San Francisco. The 2025 PGA Nationals will be held at Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, California.
The PGA Nationals is one of the most prestigious events on the PGA Tour and is considered to be a major championship. The tournament is open to all professional golfers who are members of the PGA of America, and the field typically includes many of the top players in the world.
