The Mummy 4 is an upcoming American supernatural horror film directed by Alex Kurtzman and written by David Koepp and Christopher McQuarrie, from a story by Kurtzman, Jon Spaihts, and Jenny Lumet. It is the fourth installment in the Mummy franchise and a reboot of the 1999 film The Mummy. The film stars Tom Cruise, Russell Crowe, Sofia Boutella, Annabelle Wallis, Jake Johnson, and Courtney B. Vance. It is scheduled to be released in the United States on June 5, 2025, by Universal Pictures.
The film is set in the present day and follows Nick Morton (Cruise), a soldier who is sent to the Middle East to recover an ancient Egyptian tomb. When he opens the tomb, he accidentally awakens Ahmanet (Boutella), an ancient princess who was cursed to become a mummy. Ahmanet then sets out to unleash a plague upon the world, and Nick must stop her before it’s too late.
