The Iowa Hawkeyes football team’s 2025 schedule has not yet been released. However, the team is expected to play a 12-game regular season schedule, which will include six home games and six away games. The Hawkeyes will open the season at home against the Northern Illinois Huskies on August 30th. They will then travel to Ames to take on the Iowa State Cyclones on September 6th. The Hawkeyes will then host the Nevada Wolf Pack on September 13th, before traveling to Champaign to take on the Illinois Fighting Illini on September 20th. The Hawkeyes will then host the Wisconsin Badgers on September 27th, before traveling to Lincoln to take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers on October 4th. The Hawkeyes will then host the Purdue Boilermakers on October 11th, before traveling to Minneapolis to take on the Minnesota Golden Gophers on October 18th. The Hawkeyes will then host the Maryland Terrapins on October 25th, before traveling to Columbus to take on the Ohio State Buckeyes on November 1st. The Hawkeyes will then host the Northwestern Wildcats on November 8th, before traveling to Madison to take on the Wisconsin Badgers on November 15th. The Hawkeyes will then close out the regular season at home against the Nebraska Cornhuskers on November 22nd.
The Hawkeyes are expected to be a competitive team in 2025. They return a number of key players from the 2024 season, including quarterback Spencer Petras, running back Gavin Williams, and wide receiver Keagan Johnson. The Hawkeyes also have a number of talented recruits coming in for the 2025 season. The Hawkeyes are expected to compete for a Big Ten West Division title in 2025.
